U.S. Senate
The U.S. Senate was never meant by the Founding Fathers to be a place of privilege, where people are above the laws of citizens. Instead, the Founding Fathers, as Abraham Lincoln so elegantly proved with logic, intended debate to always be rooted in principled argument. Nowadays, principled argument is 'mixed' with agendas linked to donors who ensure re-election of elitist U.S. Senators who simply use power to prevail where normal citizens would falter.
Enduring the 'test of time' may be more so indicative of 'pay to play,' ensuring re-election coffers are filled to the brink, while 'minimizing' indiscretions that would have booted normal citizens from work. So I have no respect for those actions flaunted of appearing to do good, while working in back rooms to satisfy those who donated the most. That is not what the Founding Fathers intended for U.S. Senators. I take no donation. I work solely for principles. Voting for me is free.
