TABLE TENNIS

I know that without the sport and camaraderie of table tennis, I never would have recovered from the car accident I suffered 10 years ago.  I owe my second life, this life I have now, to the sport.

Though without the plethora of speedy spinney balls I wanted from a partner to hone my hitting, I entered the 2009 United States of America Table Tennis (USATT) Nationals.  The first day in Las Vegas, walking to the gym, I pulled a muscle from the cold.  I was good for 4 competitive points; afterward was 'killed.'

However, the quiet time in between days of hitting, and competition, gave me much peace.  The third week of December 2009, in quiet, my plan to run against Dan Inouye for U.S. Senate for Hawaii became concrete.
