THE ARTs

Performing Arts

For three years in school, I played cafeteria piano lunch time.  Soothing for me, a ritual for the love of music - being life giving.  Above, I tribute the great 'IZ,' my wife's favorite singer.

Years earlier, Tony Mabesa, of Dulaang U.P. gave opportunity to be the Palma Hall 'matinee idol' as Kilroy in Tenessee William's 'Camino Real.'  While there, a University of Santo Tomas fan club formed, inviting me when Jam Morales came to perform.  Prodded onto stage, I danced to piece she sang.  The crowd went wild.  Later, with Baby Barredo, Zenaida Amador, and actor Junix Inocian of Repertory Philippines, I was in musical 'Baby.'  Competition with Martin Nievera began then.
